Anna Marie Pavlik said she has a “lust for wandering paths and waterways.” That wanderlust has led her to some interesting locations and jobs, including artist-in-resident with the U.S. Department of Interior’s National Parks program and the Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co. (she is a mechanical engineer). It also led her to etching, so that she could document her “growing concern for the survival of natural areas and a need to understand the relationship of people to their environment.” A reception for her exhibition “Wanderlust” will be held during the Dec. 2 Republic Bank First Friday Hop from 6-10 p.m.
