Psychobilly punk for “the decadent and depraved,” Louisville’s Vice Tricks is a dark dive into a genre that hits with unhinged intensity. With guitar riffs that sound like a possessed Link Wray, a high-octane rhythm section and snarled vocals that have a theatric bounce, Vice Tricks is a master’s class in its genre. If I ever have the chance to surf with Satan on a sea of lava, this is my soundtrack. Ricky Rat Pack and The Pink Vultures open.
