‘Twas The Hike Before Christmas

Need motivation to get outside and be active during the short, cold days of winter? Whether it’s your first trip to the Falls of the Ohio or the first trip in a long time, you’re sure to discover something new and interesting on this one-hour guided hike through the fossil beds of the Falls. Naturalist Alan Goldstein leads a family-friendly hike through the barren undergrowth toward Fisherman’s Point, so long as the weather cooperates and river level, too. In the event of high waters, the event will be moved to the picnic area where, organizers promise, “caroling and poetry are optional.” The event is free, although parking in the main lot is $2.
