Trans awareness has certainly been a big topic this year. Caitlyn Jenner (along with many others) has certainly brought the discussion to the forefront, but for many this has been a lifelong journey, and one damn sure worth celebrating! So head to the Mercury Ballroom for some gender-bending fun and celebrate Louisville’s Trans community. Hosted by the Derby City Sisters (A group of “radical, fun loving” nuns), there will be over 20 local and national drag performers in attendance, including the stunning Phoenix of RuPaul’s Drag Race fame, to put on one helluva show. And afterward DJ Syimone will be cranking out the tunes. A number of local organizations will also be there to join in on the celebration and raise awareness.
