‘To The Revolution!’

Experience what it was like for a Revolutionary War soldier by mingling with George Rogers Clark and his Illinois Regiment of Virginia during this encampment Saturday and Sunday. You’ll be able to interact with the militiamen and their followers, as well as various tradespeople, including blacksmiths. There will be 18th-century cooking lessons, historic home tours and snacks. And there will be a drawing for Hamilton tickets each day! This is one of many events Locust Grove is holding in the run-up to “Hamilton: An American Musical” in Louisville. Look out for more in the coming months, including a talk about the African Americans who fought in the war and a full-fledged Hamilton Festival. 4-24
