Watch as eight Tibetan Buddhist monks “meticulously and prayerfully” create a sand mandala from grains of colored sand — millions of them. You can watch the construction take place from Wednesday to Thursday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., with a dissolution ceremony on Saturday at 5 p.m. This mandala is dedicated to “healing in our community, country and world.” During construction, the monks will accept special requests for healing prayers to be made during the ritual.
