Since Derby and Oaks have been taken over by tourists (damn Yankees!), Churchill Downs, in a totally altruistic move that has nothing to do with money, has created Thurby. It’s a day for locals to enjoy the track, have a few drinks, watch 11 thoroughbred races and listen to live music by multiple Louisville Accord artists throughout the track. So get out there and have some fun before the masses turn everything into a total clusterfuck.
