Go give some love to LEO’s own J. Cobb. His art draws on a melting pot of inspiration, from underground comics to folk art. His new collection ties these influences together. “Thing Melt: A Bestiary” is the creation of a “dream-like” world inhabited by mythical beasts. Cobb said that while he doesn’t completely understand it himself, it “enchants his mind with waggish possibilities,” and with a “pinch of diabolic antics.” He will be hanging out at Great Flood Brewery on Aug. 17 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., so you can go pick his brain and check out these wild beasts for yourself.
