‘The Wolves’

It may not be soccer season yet, but what is the point of theater if not to transport the audience? In Sarah DeLappe’s Pulitzer Prize-finalist play, an undefeated girls’ high school soccer team psychs each other up for the big game and delves into deep questions about their place in the world. “DeLappe gives primacy to the voices and perspectives of young women, voices we so often ignore as a society,” said Director Pirronne Yousefzadeh. “They grapple with everything from their personal ambitions to right and wrong to the human capacity for unspeakable cruelty.”
