Many monsters, with their varying levels of notoriety and gruesomeness, have cult followings. Louisville especially loves its zombies. So it makes sense that an art exhibition about monsters will be popular as well. “The Monster Room Art Show” is a group exhibition featuring “The Nasty Seven,” including Jeff Gaither (“Art For The Criminally Insane”) Darrenn E. Canton, Suzanne Edds, Dick Starr, Patrick Jilbert, and Stu-ART!! and LEO Weekly’s own J. Cobb. The evening’s festivities will have the artists painting live, a monster costume contest, raffle and DJ Big Momma Freak (Andrea Matthews Kusten). Wonder if they will play the 1962 song “Monster Mash”? After all, “It was a graveyard smash. They did the mash, it caught on in a flash.”
