The Baseball Project

The Baseball Project is both a passion project and a conceptual one, which I’m sure you guessed from the name. Consisting of some of the members of R.E.M. and other friends, the band exists to make rock records celebrating the legends of baseball (“A Boy Named Cy,” “The Babe”), nerdy fan stuff (“Stats,” “The Baseball Card Song”) and even songs about the wild-card moments of the game, like when Dock Ellis — best known for throwing a no-hitter on LSD — tried to bean the entire Cincinnati Reds line-up (“The Day Dock Went Hunting Heads”). If the components line up with your interests, this is a great opportunity.
