If you think of textiles as only the clothing you wear, or the covers on your bed, wake up and smell the art. Louisville Visual Art has gathered three of Louisville’s finest to exhibit their fiber art. Elmer Lucille Allen, who specializes in Shibori dying, is in the main stairwell of Metro Hall. Denise Furnish’s refurbished discarded quilts are in the second-floor hallway. The hand-felted wool and silk organza abstracted landscapes of Vallorie Henderson are in the fourth-floor hallway.
