“There’s a lot to dissent against these days.” That is how the Speed Art Museum starts its description of this workshop. Teens 13 to 17 can learn about the “power of visual messages,” creating wearable works of art that share their message of resistance. The workshop is part of the Speed Art Museum’s special exhibition “Southern Accent: Seeking the American South in Contemporary Art.” T-shirts will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring wearable material for printing.
