The goal is for 500 runners and walkers to participate in this 5K and, in turn, raise $10,000 to help resettle four Syrian refugee families in Louisville. The run is the work of Zeeshan Bhatti, Hamza Foy, Kirk Kimsey and Adam Khayat, in partnership with Kentucky Refugee Ministries. KRM helps refugees settle in their new homes by providing such services as housing, help attaining official IDs and documentation, English as a second language instruction, job development and more. This is an easy way to make a major difference in the lives of four Louisville families.
