STRIVEFEST

When singer-songwriter Cheyenne Mize isn’t working on her solo endeavors, making music with Maiden Radio or touring with other musicians like Ben Sollee and Daniel Martin Moore, she’s making music with her clients at STRIVE, an arts and wellness organization, where she is co-executive director and music therapist. STRIVEFEST will showcase some of Strive’s wellness therapies, like drumming (it boosts immunity and mood), with a drum circle led by Mize and Nina Rodahaffer. STRIVE has a whole schedule of activities for kids and adults lined up, from instrument making and dancing to performances by Appalatin, Small Time Napoleon, Howell Dawdy and DJ Ali. New Wave Burrito is bringing the tacos while West 6th, Bell’s and BBC are brining the adult beverages.
