Patrick Jilbert’s art is weird in the most perfect way. His work is filtered through multiple sub-culture influences such as skate, punk, comix, folk-art and the low-brow underground to name just a few. He has become quite the staple on the local art scene since moving here from California a few years ago. “Streets is Whispering” displays his new paintings that utilize a bold and muted color palette, prickly bits of surrealism and mature compositions. Jilbert’s art always have a lot of energy and the new work even more so. The show runs until the end of the month, but join the opening day festivities this Friday.
