‘Street Studies: Photographs By Guy Dove And Elizabeth Reilly’

The streets of the world. That’s a pretty big place to glean for source material. And, as a result, photographers are never at a loss to see something different. Guy Dove and Elizabeth Reilly use this abundance of available information to give viewers the chance to see what they’ve stumbled across. Dove, whose day job is a philosophy professor at UofL, has been a photographer for four decades. He’s best known for his images on the albums of bands such as Squirrel Bait and Freakwater. Reilly’s love of photography developed (pun intended) into a career, just not as a photographer (she considers it her hobby). She’s UofL’s curator of Photographic Archives. The closing reception is on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. —Jo Anne Triplett
