Whether you’re a Trekkie or not, I bet you can perfectly picture the opening sequence of a “Star Trek” episode. You can see the starship Enterprise whizzing through space, hear William Shatner utter that most famous quotation —“Space: the final frontier …” — and you can probably also hear the melody line of the theme song with its otherworldly sounding flute and organ. A live symphony orchestra will bring that theme song to full life Wednesday in Whitney Hall, along with other popular musical arrangements from Star Trek accompanied by iconic footage from the TV series and the movies in HD on a 40’ wide screen. “Star Trek Ultimate Voyage Concert Tour” is a sensory immersion — your chance to indulge in some nostalgia for a time when we envisioned a brighter, more utopian future.
