‘A Sort Of River Of Passing Events’

The title of Quappi Projects’ latest exhibition, featuring art by Kiah Celeste, Dominic Guarnaschelli and J. Cletus Wilcox, reflects on the passage of time. Gallerist John Brooks feels the show’s timing is apropos. “We find ourselves quite vividly caught in the currents of history, further from shore than perhaps we’d realized. The work in this exhibition isn’t particularly related to [current] specific issues, but we acknowledge them … These artists’ disparate practices converge around ideas related to aesthetics, materiality, abstraction, process and ambiguity of meaning.”
