Social Speed:
The Wild, Wild West

Yee haw! The West of bygone days and myth will be back at the Speed Art Museum’s next Social Speed. For a rip-roaring good time, dress up in your best Western wear -— they’re awarding prizes for the “Best of the West” costumes. Make sure your boots are properly broken in so you can dance with the Kentucky Roundups and the Louisville Old Time Square Dance Association. Attendees can also make dream-catcher nets, go on a scavenger hunt and visit the photo booth to create a wanted poster. A highlight of the evening is the film “Last of the Mohicans,” showing at Speed Cinema at 7 p.m. (because of limited seating, tickets are available starting at 6 p.m.).
