Shawn Marshall And Michael Fitzer Fundraiser

Kentucky has one of the highest rates of child abuse in the country — 22 cases out of 1,000 children, more than double the national average of nine out of 1,000. Paintings by Shawn Marshall and photographs by Michael Fitzer will be on sale to raise funds for a film focusing on abuse in a Kentucky family. Fitzer has already produced a short documentary on the subject and plans to expand it to feature length. The exhibition/fundraiser opens at 6 p.m. on Nov. 8. —Jo Anne Triplett
