Staff Pick: Shakespeare
In The Parks Tour

Seeing Shakespeare plays performed outdoors is a time-honored tradition. Kentucky Shakespeare has a following for its summer performances in Central Park, but let’s be real — it’s hot and the mosquitoes are hungry. So when the troupe decided to have additional performances in April and May, it was a win-win (except for the mosquitoes). This year, it is performing “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in 25 Kentuckiana locations, including Carrie Gaulbert Cox Park, Chicasaw Park and New Albany Amphitheater. Lawn chairs, picnics and blankets are welcome.
