‘See Me Clearly: Women Photographers/Women Photographed’

Paul Paletti is a local treasure. There, I said it. What else do you call a walking encyclopedia of photographic history and techniques? And, then, there are his gallery and offices, full of photographs old to new. This group show features over 60 photographs by 25 artists, many of them women. It’s a photographic history lesson: Julia Margaret Cameron, who was there at the beginning; Imogen Cunningham, one of the first female photographers in America; war photojournalist Margaret Bourke-White; and contemporary artist Lynn Geesaman. The opening reception is Thursday, Sept. 6 from 5 to 8 p.m.
