‘Secret Louisville: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure’

Can’t get enough of LEO writer Kevin Gibson (The Taste Bud and I’d Tap That… Beer columnist)? Then, join him for a talk on his latest book “Secret Louisville: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure,” a scavenger hunt for “the strange, the surprising, and sometimes the silly locales, history, and facts” of the city. Learn the story behind where you can find things such as “a sainted Roman centurion,” “a tree cursed by witches” and “the legendary birthplace of the cheeseburger (or so the story goes).” Yes, you could accuse us of being biased, but witch curses and sainted Roman centurions are only a taste of the oddities hidden in this book, and that is just plain cool.
