Second Annual Blues, Brews & BBQ Festival

What happens when some of the best cooks, brewers and cocktail makers come together to compete for thousands of dollars? You get to enjoy one hell of a festival. A two-day marathon of barbecue, craft brews… and margaritas! Nearly 20 teams will compete for $5,000 in prize money in the Master Series barbecue competition, another dozen teams vie for $1,200 cash in the Backyard series, and $250 is up for who can make the best Caborita (a margarita with Cabo Wabo tequila). There is even the Kid’s Q Series competition (age groups: 5 to 10 and 11 to 15). Floyd County Brewing Co. and Donum Dei Brewery will also be selling craft beers… and then there’s the live blues bands! —Aaron Yarmuth
