SCBWI Midsouth Louisville Agents Day

“I’d never given much thought to how I would die …” wrote Stephanie Meyer, but I bet she gave a whole lot of thought to that first sentence of her bestselling YA novel “Twilight.” If you’ve been giving much thought to how you’ll publish your YA or middle-grade novel, print two copies of the first two pages and a query letter and bring them to the Clifton Center Saturday, where you can meet with literary agents looking for new talent. Agents will present on the current children’s book market and engage in small-group critiques of first pages and query letters. The conference is open to all published and unpublished authors. Registration is at midsouth.scbwi.org/events/2015-agent-day/ and closes August 12 or as soon as maximum capacity of 44 attendees is reached.
