Victor McCain didn’t much care at first — but now he knows his soul is at risk. That’s an important perspective on how La Grange author Tony Acree views the lead character of his novel series. McCain is a bounty hunter with grounding in our world (including Louisville settings) — but his work affects the realms of the supernatural. The fourth title, “Revenge,” is the latest of what Acree calls his “popcorn books. I don’t want you to put my novels down, so I write them in a way that keeps you turning pages.” If you want to get in one or two final, breezy summer reads, check out the reading/signing this weekend. Some religious considerations, along with romance, hold on in a thoughtfully-maintained balance with the propulsive nature of his tales.
