Mo McKnight Howe started Revelry as a small gallery with one mission, “to provide people with awesome, affordable, local art.” Revelry started with about 20 artists in 2010 and now, five years later, showcases over 200 local and regional artists. Mission accomlished! One of the first artists to show work at Revelry is the uber-creative Mike Maydak. Maydak returns to celebrate Revelry’s fifth anniversary with a solo show titled ‘Heritage.’ Maydak is sure to deliver an eclectic mix of portraiture, architecture and local imagery with his whimsically-twisted colorful vision. There will also be a surprise interactive art activity during the opening. Maydak’s show will be up until Sept. 16, but join them on Saturday for the festivities.
