Kaiju bar (my personal favorite in a city full of amazing bars) has noticed a problem: Refugees fleeing their homelands for fear of violence, oppression and civil strife are being demonized by giant monsters like Donald Trump. And even once they’ve made to America, or Louisville for that matter, they still need help. So Kaiju is asking the people of this compassionate city to bring any new or gently used winter clothing to help them out, and for your efforts they will reward you with some great music by M.I.N.D., The Muddy Walters, Ed Monk and some live painting by Ryan Case. All donations, the painting created that night and 10 percent of bar sales will be donated to Kentucky Refugee Ministries. It’s a chance to do a little something that will mean so much for those who have lost nearly everything.
