With all of the other emergencies and critical issues facing our city, state and country (and world), it’s easy to lose sight of one of the most important issues of all: the climate. Good thing we can do several things at once. REAL, the Renewable Energy Alliance of Louisville, is working to bring Louisville into the fight against climate change. Their goal is to bring “a fast, fair, and just transition to 100% clean renewable energy for Metro operations by 2035 and community-wide by 2040.” Learn more about what is happening in our community to help save the climate and our planet. Speakers include Sam Avery and Roger Ohlman of REAL, Dawn Cooley of Kentucky Interfaith Power & Light, and Metro Councilperson Nicole George. Folk singer John Gage will also perform. You can find a link to register for the free Zoom event on the event’s Facebook page.
