‘Project 9: New Narrative’

As part of the Louisville Photo Biennial, “Project 9: New Narrative” is a collaborative show curated by Nicole White and features work by Benjamin Martinkus, Jordan Tate and Joey Versoza. The show comprises pieces that represent the current state of photography, the work explores the changing artistic nature of photographic image making. It also brings up questions about how we consume photography in the 21st century, what it means to no longer hold a photograph and what role the evolution of technology plays in its future. It’s a collision of past and future concepts that coalesce in sculptures, video installations and even in a journey through virtual reality. The entire show is a fascinating look at the ever-evolving photographic tradition.

‘Project 9: New Narrative’

Chasson Higdon is a writer, artist and filmmaker. At an early age, when other boys were learning about sports or cars, Chasson had his head buried in art history books or creating paintings and drawings. This trend has continued on into adulthood, where he has earned his BA in Fine Arts from Indiana University, received multiple awards for his creative endeavors and is still currently clueless about sports or cars.
