Starting in the early 1980s, Harold Maier’s
Twice Told Books and Twice Told Coffee House fed the zeitgeist of Louisville’s artists, writers and musicians. Since retiring in 2007, Maier has become quite a prolific painter (he had always dabbled with drawing during his tenure teaching elementary school in the 1970s). His expressive style is brilliant with color and emotes great drama and movement. There will be a closing reception on Sunday, Dec. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m.
