With the Portland renaissance picking up more steam everyday, it seems crazy how often one still runs into people who haven’t crossed under the 9th Street overpass to see the action in person. If you are one of those people, this weekend is a perfect chance to check out the historic neighborhood. The Portland Art and Heritage Fair includes a juried art show at Louisville Visual Art’s new Portland home, a Louisville Photo Biennial group show and craft vendors at Tim Faulkner Gallery, events at Portland Library and Portland Museum. Trolley tours are available all day, and you can tour the Portland Locks, which should be on your bucket list. The Portland Family Health Center will have live music all day. Quit making excuses and get down there.
