There’s a number of firsts in this exhibition. The year-old Magpie3x3 Clay Studio has recently added gallery to its title. Its first show features pottery by Lena Wolek and drawings by Samantha Ludwig. While both artists qualify as Louisvillians, Wolek is much newer. She recently moved here from Los Angeles, and this is her first exhibition in her new hometown. Both artists focus on socioeconomic issues and cultural changes. The opening is on Friday, Jan. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. If you miss that one, there’s a closing reception on Feb. 22 at the same time.
