Staff Pick: ‘Patrick Smith: Painted By Patrick Smith’

Sometimes, as an artist, you just gotta… For Patrick Smith, he felt it was necessary to do “a continuous [painting] six-week blitz. I captured a moment in my life, a stream of consciousness. No edits, no second thoughts, just holding the peddle to the floor and painting.” It took weeks for what normally takes at least six months, “to keep things interesting,” he said. The result is his new exhibition, “Patrick Smith: Painted by Patrick Smith.” The portraits are interesting, indeed.
