CRAFT(s) is celebrating two events: Its three years on Fourth Street, in the area that’s been christened SOFO, and the recent expansion of that space. This all has warranted a name change; CRAFT(s) is now CRAFT(s) Gallery & Mercantile. The celebration includes showing works by ceramicists Laura Ross and Judy Miner in the new exhibition area. Ross’ and Miner’s studios are lust-worthy, with a magnificent view of the river. It shows their dedication to their art that they get any work done. And for that, we are grateful. Both artists concern themselves with quality and craftsmanship. Functional or not, the beauty of the clay, and what can be done with it, is evident. The opening reception is Friday, July 22 from 6-10 p.m.
