Experimental mixed-media artist Jada Lynn Dixon has a love for the bizarre, the strange and, perhaps, a bit of the macabre. But with a good-natured and soothing approach. With her new show “Odds and Altars,” Dixon focuses on nature, spirituality, metaphysics and other imponderable states. Using a wide range of artistic techniques, her repertoire includes wall altars and shadow boxes layered with rich imagery, strange and mystical objects and ephemera trinkets.
