‘Note’ By Eli Keel

“All the world’s a stage,” wrote Shakespeare. And much of our incessant internal dialogue is devoted to rehearsing for the next scene. In recent years, playwright Eli Keel has explored an astonishing variety of themes, topics and settings, including a poignant coming-of-age drama set at a bus stop; and a riveting interpretation of the Orpheus myth using circus arts. “Note: A Play About Rehearsing a Play — Notes from a Bipolar Life,” directed by Kathi E.B. Ellis, is set in a rehearsal room, always a fragile space fraught with secrets, risks and wit. This collaboration with Looking for Lilith Theatre Co. promises to be entertaining and educational. There will be talk-back for audiences to explore the art of the play. —Marty Rosen
