Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters

Roots music filtered through rock n roll that focuses in on the realistic and unflattering aspects of rural towns that have been left to rot, similar to the alt-country of the ’90s, Nick Dittmeier & The Sawdusters keep the lyrics heavy and the music (for the most part) fast and driving. Barroom country, blues, a dash of punk and a bit of heartland rock all seemingly make appearances, as well, adding depth and identity — two important things in a genre that has largely been used as a gimmick lately.
