‘Nature Shoots Photographer’ By Keith Auerbach

I first heard the phrase “happy accident” in a college art class. Something happened you didn’t mean to happen, but, hey, you like it! Photographer Keith Auerbach’s latest exhibition is a visual display of that concept. The 2004 tornado damaged his photography studio, leaving film on its way to becoming creative goo. “As I tried to rescue my work, I pulled photos and negatives apart and, quite unexpectedly, was intrigued by unusual patterns and colors,” he said. “I discovered extraordinary images and used digital photographic technology to capture the accidental beauty of nature’s impact.” —Jo Anne Triplett
