For the first time, a species of bumblebee has been declared endangered in the United States. That is a big deal because bees are crucial to keeping our nation’s crops pollinated. If you are interested in being a part of the solution to this agricultural problem, then join Idlewild Butterfly Farm as it hosts two Native Pollinators Workshops (one at 10 a.m., the other at 1 p.m.). The goal is to teach Louisville residents how to build (with provided materials) their own bee houses to attract the “gentle, stingless, solitary bees who are up to 15 times better at pollination than the European honey bee!” To reserve a spot, email [email protected]
