Moving Collective has never settled — down or in. For 10 years the group has redefined the idea of what makes a “dance company,” and Louisville has reaped the benefits as an eclectic string of local and regional performers and choreographers have explored the art of modern dance on the Louisville stage. This Saturday, the collective will celebrate its 10th anniversary with “X,” a mix of seven original works, choreographed and performed by artists hailing from Louisville, Virginia and Ohio. “X” includes pieces by returning collective members, Danah Bella DanceWorks, Colleen Byrne and Theresa Bautista. New members Leslie Dworkin, Summer Logan, Grace McWilliams and Elizabeth Shea will present their first works for the collective, illustrating the adventurous attitude that the collective has cultivated for the last decade.
