As far as local galleries go, Galerie Hertz has been stellar when it comes to showing the works of world-renown artists, as well as cultivating local talent, as it’s doing again with “Making Matter.” In conjunction with the Mid America Print Conference, “Making Matter: University of Louisville Invitational Student Exhibition” is a celebration of Louisville’s homegrown talent. The exhibition features artists who are studying, or recently studied, printmaking at UofL, under the guidance of Rachel Singel. Among those showing are Lauren Cockroth, Makena Devlin and Lucas Keown. This is a great opportunity to support young, talented artists in our own community.
