‘Love v. Kentucky’ screening

In one sense, you have to wonder why it took so long for marriage equality to be deemed a right of all citizens. On the other hand, it is amazing to see how quickly society changed on the issue. Perhaps even more amazing: The case that it all centered around was from right here in Kentucky. Six couples and a team of lawyers from Kentucky joined with others from around the country and took their case to the Supreme Court. The documentary, “Love v. Kentucky” is an inside look at the journey that they all went on, which ultimately brought the most socially-radical and important change to America in decades. Director Alex Schuman and others will host a Q&A after the screening. All proceeds go to the Fairness Campaign.
