Louisville is a magical city. Not just because of our old-timey horse traditions and bounty of restaurants, but also due to our 76-year-old Magic Club, which has been creating magicians and providing a space for them to learn, connect and practice for decades. The Magic Club’s annual “It’s Magic!” show, featuring performances from members, has been around for a comparatively modest 31 years. For 2019, seven magicians are putting on their best show, including The Mastersons, whose “fast-paced and edgy brand of magic” has taken the duo on tours across the country; comedy illusionist Brandon Bagget from Indianapolis; and Louisville’s Cody Clark, whose magic shows intertwine his talent and his experiences as an autistic self-advocate. —LEO
