Mac and cheese is a dish of nostalgia, but it’s also a dish of carbs and cheese: two of the most important food groups. A mac and cheese festival, therefore, is a must-attend event (for your health!). More than 15 restaurants, food trucks and chefs will be hawking over 40 styles of mac and cheese. Breadcrumbs? Creamy? With ketchup? It’ll all be there, organizers promise, and the best will win awards. You can either pay for 2 ounce samples, available with general admission (starting at $10) or spring for $50 VIP tickets for two hours of all-you-can-eat cheesy goodness. There will be contests for eating the most and holding Cans of Whiz the longest, a craft beer garden, ax throwing, live entertainment, a kids fun zone, a cheese fry bar and much, much more. —Danielle Grady
