It’s the 25th anniversary of the area’s largest, annual HIV/AIDS awareness and fundraising event, and the cause marches on. While the number of newly-infected people has declined over the years, according to HIV.gov, 36.7 million people around the world still tested positive for the disease at the end of 2016. Louisville’s walk, along a one mile path starting at Big Four Lawn, will kick off with activities for kids and treats for pets, as well as food trucks, including Blackbeard Espresso, Moe-licious BBQ and Tacology. The event itself is free, but to truly participate, find sponsors to donate to your walk. Teams of two or more are encouraged.
