Courier Journal photographer Jay Mather and writer Joel Brinkley covered the 1979 fall of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. They received the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting the following year. Mather’s photographs of the survivors of the genocide, featured in a four-day series in the December 1979 CJ, are on display in the gallery of the Photographic Archives. —Jo Anne Triplett
