If you’re going to celebrate Pride month you should have an understanding of LGBTQ+ history. Dr. Jonathan Coleman is a leading expert in the state, and he will lead this free presentation followed by a discussion on LGBTQ+ history in Kentucky. Dr. Coleman is co-founder of the Faulkner Morgan Archive, whose mission is to preserve the history of LGBTQ+ people in Kentucky, with about 15,000 artifacts and 200 hours of recorded interviews, which he will draw on during his presentation. He’s a James Still Fellow at UK and author of the soon-to-be released “Anywhere, Together: A Queer History of Kentucky.” This event is for ages 13 and up. If you can’t make it during the scheduled time, the discussion will remain online for you to catch later.
