The Ohio River Greenway, Southern Indiana’s 7.5-mile pedestrian and cyclist path, is finally connected to all three of the area’s largest riverfront communities: Jeffersonville, Clarksville and New Albany. To celebrate, the competing burgs are teaming up and inviting families from across the area to explore the new connection, which runs along the river and through wooded areas. There will be 10 stops, five of which will feature activities, including bounce houses, a community bonfire and a mini petting zoo. At each base, you’ll be able to collect passport stamps, which you can cash in at the end for a free T-shirt and a chance to win a family season pass to one of the area’s three pools (with Louisville’s budget cuts, this is a particularly good prize). You can register online for this event or wait until the day-of.
